That fear is unavoidable and facing it is pertinent.
That mistakes are not failures; they mean lessons, too.
About responsibilities, not entitlement.
About criticism and how to handle it productively.
That emotions need to be regulated; but do not trivialize their feelings.
That it is okay to cry and heal and not bottle up emotions.
That there is nothing that can’t be solved without a good conversation.
Self-motivation is the key to success
What you need to do is…
Be sensitive towards them, be a friend to them sometimes and not just a parent
Listen to them; sometimes this is where the emotional healing begins
Do not ignore the signs where your child is struggling
Do not judge the feelings of your child, try to understand.
Give more attention to your kid than usual when you sense something is wrong.
Encourage them to take responsibilities; tell them stories and anecdotes highlighting this
Know people all around them and find out if there’s an emotion loophole somewhere
As parents you need to be emotionally alert, available, and responsive towards your child
Only then you can bridge emotion gap between you and your child and raise a healthy kid
